Perfect glass conditions this morning. Got out just after sunrise when the wind started filling in from the south. Managed to get some great rides before it got too crowded.
Finally got back on the water after a long break. The feeling of that first flight is always magical. Conditions were a bit choppy but still managed to get some good runs in.
Lessons learned after 100 sessions
December 8, 2024
After hitting my 100th session milestone, here are the key things I've learned:
Patience is everything - don't rush the learning process
Gear matters less than technique at the beginning
Film yourself - it's the fastest way to improve
Find a community - the support makes all the difference
Respect the conditions - there's always another day
Can't wait to see what the next 100 sessions bring!
Perfect conditions today
December 5, 2024
One of those rare days where everything aligns - steady wind, flat water, warm sun. These are the sessions you remember.
Sunset vibes
December 1, 2024
Evening sessions hit different. The light, the calm, the empty water. Pure meditation on the foil.
New gear day!
November 28, 2024
Finally upgraded to the Armstrong HS1550. First impressions:
So much more lift than my old foil
Incredibly stable at low speeds
Pumping is way more efficient
The build quality is unreal
Can't wait to put more hours on this setup!
Learning to jibe
November 25, 2024
The jibe has been my nemesis for weeks. Finally starting to get consistent with the foot switch. Key breakthrough: commit to the turn and trust the foil.
Wave riding practice
November 20, 2024
Started venturing into small waves today. The feeling of gliding down a wave face on the foil is unlike anything else. Still have a lot to learn but the stoke is real.
